On January 12, 2012, Kenvic Professional Training (Kenvic) was invited by Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) to give a speech about preparing for the Customs Brokers Exam. The event was held in Law offices of Baker &McKenzie in the Grace. Our instructor provided an in depth overview about careers in US Customs Brokers and how to prepare for the Customs Broker Exam in spring.
US Customs Brokers are licensed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and empowered to assist and represent corporations, banks, manufacturers, associations and other businesses engaged in international trade in meeting federal requirements governing imports and exports. The purpose of the Customs Broker examination is to determine the examinees knowledge of Customs and related laws, regulations and procedures, bookkeeping, accounting, and all other appropriate matters, and his or her fitness to render valuable service to importers and exporters.

国税局税务师可以帮个人，公司报税，还可以代表报税者跟美国国税局打交道，处理各种税务问题的专业人士。国税局税务师跟律师，注册会计师一样，可以有无限制的权限和美国国税局打交道。考取税务师执照无学历，无资历还有无特别身份的要求，持F1签证的留学生也可以去考。联邦税务师是受尊重的专业人士，而且这个执照是全美通用。

亚联会税务、贸易讲座 助创业

为了帮助布碌仑华裔商家在经济景气不佳的环境下寻找商业空间，布碌仑亚裔社联会1日宣布，将与国税局、中华总商会与海关专家举办「小商家税务讲座」与「进口贸易求生存与发展讲座」，两场讲座订于10日晚举行，免费开放参加。
亚联会主席陈纬麟1日表示，许多华裔移民选择创业，成为小商业者，但往往对于税务管理，或有关政府的节税计画不太了解，浪费不必要的税务费用，因此再度邀请国税局参与「小商家税务讲座」，会中将免费赠送税务月历与小商业者创业DVD，讲座将由中华总商会代表黄启超以国语及粤语进行，会后并开放各类小商家税务问答，欢迎有意创业或小商家业者参与，讲座时间是10日下午4时至6时。
另一场「小商家做进口贸易求生存与发展」讲座将在同日晚间6时30分至8时举行，负责规画讲座的肯维专业培训负责人周肯表示，在全球化的今日，小商家必须透过国际贸易与进口才能取得低成本的商品，讲座将由拥有数十年报关经验的颜报关师主讲，让商家业者了解海关程序、规定与要求文件，减少业者不必要的损失与成本。
